My database crashed
I’ve got a massive problem with my website and I’m in danger of losing 10 or more years’ worth of work because the database has crashed. The database tables were corrupted during the last update and I can’t fix anything because as soon as I touch the database, everything freezes. A terrible experience with this…

Perfect for a quick free site check
Very quick and easy to set up to use the free cloud based link checker, the tool immediately pointed out 6 broken links on our site including some very nasty ones in our onboarding process that might have lost us business. Fixed them up, re-scanned, 0 broken links found. I haven’t used any of the more advanced tools…

Does the job
I use my website for my travel blogs. I usually post these on wordpress.com first before i copy them over to my personal website, including linked images. Broken Link Checker is perfect to make sure the images don’t break.

Editors no longer have permission
In the latest updates it looks like the user permissions have changed. Editors used to have access to the local link checker, but it seems that this has updated to only Admin accounts. Was this intentional, and is it possible to update or add a custom capability so that we can give non-admin users access?

Excellent tool for checking links
Thank you for this broken link checker tool. I was able to fix about 70 broken links on my website in a couple of hours. Very easy to use!

Local Link Checking Not Working. Only The Cloud Link Checking Works!
Despite several tries, the local broken link checking is not working. It shows ‘No broken links found’ although the site is having close to 200 broken links at least in cloud link checking! Furthermore, ‘403 Forbidden’ is the major chunk flagged as broken links in cloud link checking, although a human can access those…

Broken update = uninstalled
An untested update (2.4.9) broke multiple websites running this plugin, causing a DoS on the database server, resulting in websites to crash after repeated attempts to upgrade the tables used by the plugin. Wasted several hours trying to investigate and remove the plugin from affected sites. And this is a plugin that…

A fantastic tool
BLC found many broken links for me. I thought they were wrong but doing my due diligence I found BLC was correct. I wouldn’t have found them without this tool. I see some comments that this tool was giving inaccurate results. I thought the same until I really looked into it and they were right every time. Thanks BLC.…

Caught a Major Error Thanks to this Plugin
This plugin caught small error that was prepending a space after every single URL in my directory. I had no idea! Thank you!

A great service delivering a bit of peace of mind
I have a large number of links on my website and it gives me great peace of mind to know that they are checked regularly and that any issues are reported to me. A great service.

not useful for my needs
The local version finds hundreds of false positives, so I switched to the cloud version, but it doesn’t find anything, even though I know there are broken links in my woocommerce product pages. The “full report” doesn’t specify which urls were scanned, so i assume it’s not actually scanning everything on my site, i…

False Positives for Broken Links EVERY TIME
I have used this plugin for years and it’s always been problematic, but now it gives every single link a false positive and then I have to manually check and dismiss each one. If I bulk rescan all of them again, then they all turn green and unbroken (for no valid reason), but if I click anything after that, it goes…

Thank you
Thank you very much your work developers. I am very grateful for your wok and for your helpful plugin <3. I was migrating from my old CMS to WordPress and on my WordPress Localhost PC I successfully and conveniently fixed broken links, of which there were hundreds. I am most grateful for the integration with…

Useful by annoyingly inaccurate.
I’ve been using this plugin on 3 of my main sites for several years. It reports too many false positives when it encounters a crawler violation when checking the URLs. I have NEVER been able to connect to the Cloud version either by manual or automatic connection. I can login to “The Hub” but can’t connect from The…

Lame Link Checker
Just started using this plugin to check my 108 broken links on my 25 year old blog. Lame. Can’t even view the full links in their window to see them to help me figure it out – ya gotta click in, adding a few extra steps to an already very picky chore. Anything done in bulk doesn’t work which is frustrating and – again…

Useless Crippleware
The “Local” option marks images that work as not working, because it uses WayBack machine, so updates are not taken into account. The “Cloud” option can only be used if you sign up for the paid service. The description is a lie, because while signing up is free, the cloud service is paid for a year upfront! This topic…

Not working
The plugin marks perfectly fine working links as broken all the time. And the worst is that on frontend, it strikes through the link text when it “thinks” the link is broken (while it is working perfectly fine). So, every time one needs to log in, go to the plugin and tell the plugin that nope, that link is not…

Cloud engine not so useful
Since years I used the local engine, which did it job very well. Now because of “cloud engine does the job very faster and optimized your website” I switched if it will do it better. But now. Cloud stops after 3 hours because of a limitation. So I never get my site initial scanned. It does not start again from where…
